taking-driving-lessons-during-covid

We hope you are safe and well during these tough times. As you may be aware the government have begun easing lockdown and slowly employers are starting to re-open businesses.

Taking driving lessons during COVID is always going to be challenging. We are working hard to ensure the lessons are delivered in the safest way possible. Currently, the lessons are only available for keyworkers as per DVSA guidance. As Government eases the restriction we will start offering lessons to other learners.

To ensure a safe learning environment for students at A stars driving school we have taken the precautions as per following government guidelines in order to manage risk to the lowest reasonably practical level by taking preventative measures.

Working safely during coronavirus – Working from vehicle

5 Key Points for going back to work safely

These measures include:

1. Our instructor will be wearing a face mask at all times and we request that you do as well, this is to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 from person to person.

2. We will be cleaning the interior of the car ie. wiping down the controls (e.g steering wheel, handbrake/gears, dashboard etc.) as well as doors, seat covers and seat belts with anti-viral disinfectant. This will be done before the start and once the lesson ended.

Your health is our priority and only book a driving lesson if you are sure and in good health.

If you don’t feel comfortable learning to drive during Covid-19 then we advise you to only start when you feel comfortable to do so.

Please note that key workers and people with upcoming tests have priority.
